SOUNDBITE (French): MAK HAZUKAY, Spokesperson of DRC-Uganda joint military operations 3. various of the evaluation of joint military operations by the DRC and Ugandan armies in Beni, DR Congo STORYLINE: Military chiefs from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Ugandan on Wednesday began the evaluation of their joint military operations in Beni of the DRC's eastern province of North Kivu. Since late 2021, the DRC's armed forces (FARDC) jointly launched operations with Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF) against several rebel bases of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), mostly hidden in the Beni forest. Since the start of joint military operations in Beni territory, ADF rebel bases have been demolished, with hundreds of rebels neutralized or captured, according to the two armies.
